Row the peaks… Completed!

Back in August the 4 of us, (from left Me, Barny, Gibbo and George) set out on our challenge. To climb the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales, back to back, carrying a concept2 rowing machine and a kettlebell. At the top of each peak, we would assemble the rower, row the mountains height in feet in metres on the the rower, lift the same number in kilograms with the kettlebell and do 100 burpees each, then on to the next one…

On top of Ben Nevis

Scafell Pike at midnight later that evening

and then on to Snowdon…

Job Done. With over £12,500 raised for charity. All money went to the Fragile X society, a charity that supports the families of those with fragile X syndrome, a genetic learning condition, that doesn’t receive much attention.

Feel free to email me to let me know of any crazy challenges you have done or wish to do!

3 peaks 2.0

This years charity challenge has been decided. Drum roll… yep as the title suggests myself and 3 others, Chris, Barny and Gemma will be attempting to complete the 3 peaks challenge. Climbing to the summit of the UKs 3 highest peaks, Ben Nevis (4,413ft), Scafell Pike (3,209 ft) and Snowden (3,560ft). Sound’s easy right? We thought so, so we have stupidly decided to drag a rowing machine and some weights up with us and do a quick workout at the top of each. All in 36 hours.

As always we will be raising money for a special cause. All proceeds will be going to the fragileX society, supporting those diagnosed with Fragile X syndrome. A charity that has been of great help to Chris and his family. To find out more about our challenge, Fragile X syndrome, the Fragile X society and to show support please click the links below.
